Obsidian Strategics Joins IBM PartnerWorld

The move facilitates the study of stretched DB2 pureScale clusters using Longbow InfiniBand range extenders

RESTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Obsidian Strategics, the makers of the Longbow™ InfiniBand range-extension, routing and encryption products, is pleased to announce that it has joined IBM's PartnerWorld program.

IBM was a major technology contributor to the open-standard InfiniBand specification in 1999, and today successfully deploys InfiniBand in numerous product lines, including its DB2 pureScale¹ database server clusters. Obsidian's technology team has been working with InfiniBand since 2001, and today its Longbow family of products uniquely provide secure, low-latency and high-bandwidth InfiniBand links over standard optical wide area networks.
