DUBLIN--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Dublin - Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/gfnfgd/chorus_limited) has announced the addition of the "Chorus Limited" company profile to their offering.

Chorus is now a provider of fixed-line access and telecommunications infrastructure after it was demerged from the incumbent operator, Telecom in late 2011. The new company and its operations are profiled in this report.

Since Telecom New Zealand's operational separation into three entities back in 2008, Chorus, was the business unit responsible for operating the Telecom NZ network and infrastructure. One of its roles was to sell network access to Telecom retail as well as the competitors in the market.

In 2011, Chorus was chosen as a provider in 24 of the 33 regions for the Ultra-Fast Broadband Network (UFB) but this was conditional on the operational separation of the company from its then parent, Telecom. The UFB plans to deliver fibre-to-the-premise (FttP) to 75% of New Zealanders by end-2019.

By late 2011 with the operational separation of Telecom completed, Chorus is now separately listed company on the NZSX and the ASX. The demerged Chorus is now the largest provider of fixed line access and telecommunications infrastructure across New Zealand.
