The survey elicited responses from 93 IT professionals across a wide range of vertical industries to answer questions related to disaster recovery challenges for large enterprise backup environments.

Sepaton conducted its fourth annual survey of large enterprises in North America and Europe to answer these questions and to quantify current data protection and disaster recovery challenges for large enterprises and big data backup environments. Specific areas covered by the survey included data growth and its impact on data protection resources; business objectives and technical requirements related to data protection; data protection technologies currently in use and planned for the next year; and data protection challenges caused by massive data growth in large enterprises.
