South Florida Technology Alliance to Host Panel Discussion Moderated by Gartner, Inc., Featuring Speakers from Verizon Wireless and other Companies

MIAMI, June 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The South Florida Technology Alliance (SFTA) will host a business technology education program featuring a panel discussion titled, "4G Worldwide Standard Technologies Explained and What They Mean To Business". The panel moderated by Gartner, Inc. will focus on the fourth generation of cellular wireless standards and its impact on today's businesses. A pre-event workshop provided by Feldman Gale will feature an introduction to intellectual property: "Best Practices: Use of Intellectual Property To Safeguard Your Technology". The event takes place at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 23, at Fort Lauderdale Marriott North, 6650 North Andrews Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309. Pre-event workshop begins at 4:30 p.m.

Aiming to provide a data transfer rate of up to 100Mbps for its cell phone users and 1Gbps for its stationary users, 4G technology has been receiving more and more attention since its initial launch. At the event, expert panelists will discuss what kinds of industries will benefit the most from this technology, how workforces and workplaces will change and how small business will compete like large businesses in this arena.
