Argela is a Finalist for the 2011 Femtocell Industry Awards
Industry experts recognise Argela for its Femto Advertising Application
SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Argela, a leading provider of telecom solutions for fixed and mobile operators, is a finalist for the Femto Forum’s 2011 Femtocell Industry Awards. Argela’s Femto Advertising Application has been shortlisted specifically for the “Femtocell application: new service or technology” award category. All of the winners will be announced at the Femto Forum’s Gala Awards Dinner next Wednesday, June 22, 2011, during the Femtocell World Summit in London.
Argela’s CEO, Mr. Bulent Kaytaz, commented, "It’s a great honor for Argela to have been shortlisted again for this year's Femtocell Industry Awards. Services and applications are the next step in the femtocell industry and we appreciate that our Femto Advertising Application is being recognized by the Femto Forum. Our Femto Advertising Application enables operators and service providers to monetize their femtocell service in a whole new way and we are looking forward to developing more revenue-generating applications and services for our femtocell customers.”
Argela’s Femto Advertising Application allows service providers to deliver highly-targeted ads to their subscribers’ mobile phones, laptops, and TVs via Argela’s APPs-on Femto Application Server. With this application, ads can be programmed to be delivered to a target market based on date, time, and presence in the home. Advertisers can also target their ads to entire subscriber base, a household, an individual, or to an IP address, thereby increasing the relevancy and efficacy of their advertising.
The Femto Forum, the independent industry and operator association that supports femtocell deployment worldwide, recognises outstanding achievement within, and contributions to, the femtocell industry. The awards were open to the whole industry and are judged independently of the Femto Forum by a panel of distinguished analysts, journalists and industry experts, chaired by Dean Bubley, Founder and Director at Disruptive Analysis. The awards attracted entries from vendors and operators from across the world and the full spectrum of the mobile value chain.
"These awards, like the whole femtocell industry, have transformed out of all recognition since their inception. The overwhelming consensus in the mobile industry is that femtocells represent a critical part of the evolution of mobile networks. This is reflected in the growing number of deployments by almost all the major operator groups as well as the smaller regional players,” said Simon Saunders, The Femto Forum’s chairman. “These awards recognise and reward this remarkable transformation of the mobile industry. I congratulate the finalists and look forward to the awards ceremony when the industry will come together and learn from its success stories.”
