Relationship Extends Aurora Networks’ Support for Network Evolution for European Cable Operators

Through this partnership, the companies are targeting European cable operators with Aurora Networks’ solutions, such as Fiber Deep, RFoG and segmentation technologies. The relationship will enhance Aurora Networks’ existing European business structure, which supports cable operators across the continent as they evolve their networks for the delivery of advanced services available today and tomorrow.

- Aurora Networks’ Fiber Deep solution enables cable operators to significantly increase network capacity while reducing operating costs and energy consumption by greater than 50 percent, making Fiber Deep a truly-green technology for cable. Pushing fiber deeper into the network eliminates the need for RF amplifiers, which results in the removal of about 70 percent of actives found in a cable network, and that can reduce operational and maintenance costs by as much as 65 percent.
- Industry-leading RFoG and RFPON (RFoG with a smooth migration to full PON) solutions enable cable operators to take advantage of FTTP architectures, incorporating unique components to overcome the deployment limitations associated with traditional approaches.
