BigBand IPTV Part of CableLabs® Innovation Showcase

Latest advances in IPTV to deliver broadcast TV, VOD, and Internet video streams to IP-enabled devices to be part of CableLabs Summer Conference

(NASDAQ: BBND), a leader in digital video networking, will demonstrate managed IP video delivery using BigBand vIP PASS ™ to enable cable operators to deliver and monetize video to IP-enabled consumer devices in the home leveraging existing network infrastructure as part of the CableLabs® Innovation Showcase, which takes place during the CableLabs® Summer Conference, Aug. 15-18, 2010, in Keystone, CO.

BigBand’s Innovation Showcase demonstration will feature:

• Managed video services delivery to a broad range of ‘out-of-the-box’ IP-enabled consumer electronic devices such as game consoles, PCs and mobile tablets;
• Ability to leverage existing switched digital video and narrowcasting technology to meet multi-screen video service demands with substantial time-to-market advantage;
• Use of the Digital Living Network Alliance® (DLNA) approach to access VOD, broadcast TV, and Internet video streams; and
• Operational tools that combine RF and IP viewership, capacity management and transport.

The CableLabs Summer Conference 2010 is being held in the Keystone Resort and Conference Center, Keystone, CO.
