Business Insider Releases “Silicon Alley 100” List Recognizing Innovators in the NYC Tech Community

NYC Digital Personalities Connect on the Floor of the New York Stock Exchange

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Yesterday evening, Business Insider and NYSE Euronext (NYX) recognized innovators in the New York City tech community, the “Silicon Alley 100” (SA 100), at a reception on the trading floor of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). The SA 100 list, released yesterday by Business Insider, is comprised of individuals in the New York City digital community who are making a positive impact in the sector, i.e., launched a startup, created a product, funded a company or donated money or time to a worthy cause related to the tech sector.

Guests used Twitter hashtag #SA100 to tweet comments about the event and were able to check into NYSE on Foursquare, resulting in the popular Swarm Badge being awarded to users who check in at a location where over 50 other users are checked into at the same time.

NYSE Euronext, a sponsor of the event, is proud to partner with Business Insider to recognize individuals who are innovators in the technology community. The Silicon Alley 100 winners include notables such as Foursquare Co-Founder Dennis Crowley, AOL CEO Tim Armstrong, Union Square Ventures Partner Fred Wilson, Hunch Co-Founder Chris Dixon, Associated Content CEO Patrick Keane, Gawker Media Founder Nick Denton and COO Gaby Darbyshire, and many more.
