EarthLink Adds Senior Leadership, Hires Roy Frederickson as Vice President, National Account Support Services

ATLANTA, Ga., (September 16, 2011) - EarthLink, Inc. (NASDAQ: ELNK), a leading IP infrastructure and services company, today announced that Roy Frederickson has joined the company as Vice President, National Account Support Services. Frederickson will be based at EarthLink's Atlanta, Georgia headquarters. In his new position, Frederickson is responsible for services architectures, pre-sales support, and ongoing customer service for EarthLink's National Account business unit. Prior to joining EarthLink, Frederickson led a strategic organization at Cisco Systems that delivered management and technical support for complex convergent networks, cloud computing, and managed services solutions supporting major US and Canadian accounts operating on a national or global scale.

Prior to Cisco, Frederickson's proven executive experience includes Vice President of Product Development with Cox Communications, Vice President of Operations and Support Systems with UrbanMedia, and Vice President of Sales Support with LHS Communications. At EDS earlier in his career, he designed, implemented and operated facilities for clients, built and delivered managed services, and managed a portfolio of clients' outsourced network, computing, and call center operations. His career began in the utility industry, where he integrated systems to support nuclear power plants.
