Program Reflects Growing Market Demand for Testers with iTest Expertise

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Fanfare, delivering innovative automation solutions to service providers (SPs), network equipment manufacturers (NEMs), and enterprises, today announced that it will offer three different levels of iTest® certification to customers who wish to establish individual user expertise.

The certification program will address the growing demand for iTest user standards from users and employers alike. iTest has become the prevailing automation tool for global SPs and NEMs, who rely heavily on iTest for their automated testing needs. It is becoming more common for testing, development, and quality assurance (QA) job postings worldwide to list iTest experience as a requirement. Because of this, potential recruits are differentiating themselves by highlighting their iTest experience on their resumes when applying for positions within these organizations.

Fanfare will offer three iTest certification ratings:

1. Green Belt – for users who are well-versed in the everyday use of iTest.

  • Exam covers common questions such as concepts, tasks, and end-to-end use models.

2. Black Belt – for users who are considered to be power users and who can provide iTest guidance to other users.

  • Black belt certification requires applicants to create test cases that solve automation challenges for standard system testing requirements.

3. Sensei – for users who are able to integrate iTest technology into the evolving product development workflow.

  • Sensei certification requires candidates to create an improved quality process for their companies, taking into consideration technology, people, and processes.

“The communications industry has clearly evolved to the point where iTest has become the de facto standard for automating testing,” said Tom Ryan, president and CEO of Fanfare. “Fanfare is proud to have played a role in this evolution. The certification program will enhance users’ ability to contribute to the automation process, and provide them with additional opportunities for career growth.”

Green belt certification testing is available at no cost until November 30, 2010, for new and existing iTest users. For more information, or to sign up, visit http://www.fanfaresoftware.com/certification.
