Finley Engineering Adds Greg Johnson, Launches IP Communications Practice

MINNEAPOLIS, July 20, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- In response to the evolving needs of the communications and energy sectors, Finley Engineering has hired Greg Johnson in the newly formed position of Manager of IP Services. Johnson will lead the firm's new IP Communications practice, which will support Finley client efforts in the building and operation of smart IP enabled communications networks.

Johnson will work out of the Indiana office and will report directly to Mike Boehne, VP Business Development. He will be responsible for all aspects of IP engineering and support within the company. Johnson has more than 20 years of experience in telecommunication and data networking. Most recently he served as a Senior Network Engineer at Cincinnati Bell. Prior to his last position he worked for ILECs in Indiana deploying IP networks and services for over 15 years. He has a proven track record managing complex projects and leading teams by defining and managing priorities to ensure efficient and timely completion. Johnson has assisted in the design, installation and maintenance of large-scale service provider transport networks in support of 300k subscribers and is very experienced in the coordination of network administration, IPTV, end-user technical support and web development projects. He has developed many software applications in support of network monitoring, provisioning and web back-end applications.
