MONTREAL--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- gogo6 inc. in association with the IPv6 Forum and the California IPv6 Task Force is presenting gogoNET LIVE! 2 on November 1 - 3, 2011, at San Jose State University. gogoNET LIVE! 2’s theme is “Trials & Tribulations” and has the goal of teaching networking professionals how to do an IPv6 field trial. It is a mashup of the gogoNET social network and a live conference. gogoNET LIVE! 2 uses social media to facilitate discussion between members, attendees and speakers before, during and after the live event as well as to extend the reach of the v6 content beyond the conference’s live audience to gogoNET’s 55,000 members and other professionals through its YouTube channel.
The conference is three days long and features 25 top IPv6 experts from around the world. Day 1 consists of multiple tracks of hands-on workshops with labs on specific topics like: router configuration, neighbor discovery, DHCPv6 and OSPFv3. Day 2 starts with keynotes from Yves Poppe, Director of IP Services at Tata Communications and Steve Feldman, Chair of NANOG. These are followed by seven case studies by experts from organizations like AT&T, Telecom Italia, University of Missouri and SPAWAR and the day is completed with the start of the functional presentations on the steps required to do an IPv6 trial. Day 3 starts with vendors presenting their IPv6 products and continues with the remaining functional presentations on how to do an IPv6 trial by industry luminaries like Jeff Doyle, Chris Grundemann, Silvia Hagen and Yanick Pouffary.
