Homeland Security for Networked Industries (HSNI)™ 2011 Conference Issues Call for Speakers
This year’s conference to address best practices for securing our nation’s critical infrastructure during tough economic times
Conference delegation to present to policy makers on Capitol Hill
WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The Homeland Security for Networked Industries (HSNI) ™ Conference announced today that it has opened its call for speakers for the 2011 Conference. This year’s event will focus on strategies, best practices and recommendations for securing our nation’s critical infrastructure during tough economic times. The event-- which traditionally attracts senior executives from industry to share best practices-- will culminate this year in the presenting of joint recommendations to the Federal Government on how to optimize government industry resources for the greater benefit of our national security.
The event will comprise a one day conference on December 5, 2011 at the Marriott Metro Center in Washington, DC. On the morning of December 6, 2011, the conference delegation will present recommendations to policy makers on Capitol Hill.
Technical working groups are optional to conference participants and will meet on December 4, 2011 prior to the start of the conference.
Critical Infrastructure Industries Focus: Telecom, Transportation, Utilities and Newly Added Financial Services
The Homeland Security for Networked Industries (HSNI) ™ Conference brings together network security leaders from critical infrastructure industries including telecommunications, transportation and utility industries. This year the conference will invite representatives from the financial services industry as well, to create a greater dialogue around our nation’s ability to optimize investment in security.
A key focus of this year’s event will be on reliability—particularly reliability of the smart grid, reliability of communications infrastructure during crises, and reliability of the overall mechanics of the nation’s financial services industry.
Call to Action: From Communications to Recommendations
HSNI 2011 will focus on creating dialogue between critical infrastructure industries with the goal of establishing best practices and solid recommendations for legislators and regulators to secure the nation’s critical infrastructure in today’s economy. The two day event will culminate by delivering recommendations to legislators on Capitol Hill.
