—‘IBBS NetVantage’ Joins IBBS’ Suite of Service Assurance Tools Including Provisioning, Network Operations Center and Engineering Services—

ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- IBBS, the leading provider of voice and data services for broadband providers, today announced that it has successfully deployed IBBS NetVantage, a comprehensive web-based network tool based on the capabilities of award-winning provider Monolith Software. Monolith is an innovative partner and leading provider of network management software for service provider and large enterprise networks.

IBBS NetVantage is designed to give broadband providers insight, control and predictability of their networks’ performance and availability. The tool features role-based views, dashboards, self-service performance and availability reporting. With the deployment of the tool, IBBS customers will have access to the same data and information that IBBS Network Operations Center personnel use to manage network performance and monitor network events. IBBS NetVantage is ideal for Tier 1 and Tier 2 cable operators that choose not to make the significant and often cost-prohibitive up-front investments to deploy system-wide solutions. IBBS’ scale allows it to implement best-in-class technology to the benefit of all its customers.

IBBS NetVantage was built with maximum flexibility in mind. The solution allows users to access real-time network statistics any time through any web browser. The Monolith Software-powered tool was designed as a multi-tenant architecture which provides for role-based views. This user-specific architecture allows information technology executives, technicians, customer care personnel and engineers to access the information they need to be more efficient, knowledgeable and empowered in their respective functions.

“Our customers expressed a need for additional visibility into network operations, so we sought the most innovative and transparent solution to meet their needs,” says Paul Freeman, chief operating officer at IBBS. “IBBS NetVantage satisfies our desire to offer advanced support services.”

During a one-year evaluation period, IBBS tested the Monolith solution against a set of stringent criteria. The tool was required to provide information that helped reduce service interruptions, deliver and prove service levels, and facilitate understanding of network capabilities in an easy-to-use, quick to deploy model.

Houston-based cable operator En-Touch Systems, was an early IBBS NetVantage customer and experienced a significant improvement in its ability to manage its network.

“Network performance and quality service delivery are the hallmarks of our business. Our network monitoring tools must help us achieve a high standard of service,” said Jason Bone, director of engineering at En-Touch Systems. “IBBS NetVantage offers improved insight, and as a result we’ll transition from our in-house system to take full advantage of the IBBS tool. We’re equally enthusiastic that this system enhances our partnership with IBBS as we can better share information and manage network operations in real time. We are confident that this system will raise the bar for En-Touch Systems and enable us to enhance our service quality.”

“Monolith enables organizations such as IBBS to comprehensively manage infrastructure performance and service assurance to deliver superior business results,” said Jeff Parker, president of Monolith Software. “Beyond the technical advantages, our technology strengthens vendor/customer relationships by creating a collaborative environment that ultimately enhances service delivery.”
