International CTIA WIRELESS 2010 Post-Show Highlights Webcast Available
WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- With almost 40,000 attendees and more than 1,000 exhibitors from around the world, International CTIA WIRELESS 2010® in Las Vegas was a tremendous success. The Show’s keynote highlights include:
- U.S. CTO Aneesh Chopra; Academy Award-Winning director James Cameron; and Twitter co-founder Biz Stone participated in an engaging roundtable discussion on how mobile technology is transforming business, media and the economy.
- AT&T Mobility President and CEO Ralph de la Vega presented an in-depth look at the state of wireless in the United States and declared the country as the global leader in the migration to 4G.

- Telefónica Internacional, USA Inc.’s chairman Iñaki Urdangarín and CTIA President and CEO Steve Largent jointly announced the formation of the Latin American Common Short Code (CSC) initiative that will enable businesses to efficiently and effectively reach more than 400 million Latin American consumers in 17 countries through a centralized CSC registry.
- Sprint Nextel CEO Dan Hesse discussed the advantages of 4G technology, why his company chose WiMax and what’s next for wireless.
- Deutsche Telekom AG CEO René Obermann provided an international perspective on some of the differences and similarities between the wireless ecosystem in the U.S. and Europe.
