Invitel Holdings A/S Announces Simplification of Group Structure and Relocation of Its Board

LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Invitel Holdings A/S announced today that in line with its desired goal of achieving the simplification of its group structure, it has commenced the liquidation of certain group entities, including Invitel Holdings A/S and Matel Holdings N.V. The liquidation of other group companies including Invitel Hungary Holdings Kft. and AT-Invitel GmbH, and the merger of the FiberNet group companies into Invitel Zrt has also recently been completed.

In connection with the commencement of the liquidation of Invitel Holdings A/S, the Board of Directors has been relocated to Invitel Zrt, the main operating company in the group located in Hungary. Ole Steen Andersen, the Board Chairman, has also resigned from his position as a member of the Board of Directors. Mr. Craig Butcher (the previous Vice-Chairman) has replaced Mr. Andersen as Chairman, with Mr. Nikolaus Bethlen (an existing Board member), assuming the Vice-Chairman role.
