To manage its expansion in the U.S., Ipanema Technologies announces the appointment of Charlie Barzilla as Director of Central Operations
WALTHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Ipanema Technologies – the industry leader in WAN Governance solutions and application-centric VPN services – today announced the appointment of Charlie Barzilla as Director of Central Operations.
The expansion of Ipanema’s U.S. based sales team marks significant progress as Ipanema increases its global presence and develops new revenue channels with U.S. networking companies and Service Providers. Based in Houston, Charlie will be responsible for sales and partner development for the central U.S. region. With a solid track record of overachieving sales objectives, Charlie brings to Ipanema his extensive market knowledge and strong customer relationships with large enterprise accounts. Charlie will report to Peter Cary, Vice President and General Manager for North America.

Prior to Ipanema, Charlie spent 7 years at Polycom where his responsibilities included building their South Central Region and Global Accounts Program, and where most recently he held the position of Vice President Global Accounts for North America.
Throughout his 28 years in the networking industry, Charlie has developed an extensive background in building business plans and executing sales strategies. Having spent 11 years at Cisco, Charlie has also held senior executive sales positions at FORE Systems and Cacheflow (now Blue Coat Systems). Charlie holds a degree in Business Management from the University of Houston.
