IP&TV Awards 2012 Entries Submissions Are Now Open
Informa Telecoms & Media are now accepting entries for the 6th Annual IP&TV Awards
LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Now in their sixth year, the incredibly successful IP&TV Industry Awards are now open for any company that wishes to have their achievements and innovations recognised in the global IP and TV markets. The 2012 Awards categories have been updated to reflect the pervasiveness of OTT which has truly become a mainstream delivery in the past few years.
The awards are a symbol of recognition and respect in the industry. By winning an award previous winners have been able to showcase their products and services, stand out as a market leader amongst their competitors and peers and generate a lot of free advertising through headlines throughout the world and through Informa Telecoms & Media’s dedicated marketing activities.
Tufan Unal, Senior Director of Digital Media at Turkish ISP TTNET, which won Best IPTV, Hybrid or Connected TV Service Growth Achievement Award for its Web TV service 'Tivibu' in 2011, spoke to IPTV News about what the award meant to TTNET. Tufan claims, “It showed the industry that it is possible to reach the mass market with an innovative service. It is also testament to our efforts that we are on the right track with our strategies. The award gave everyone involved in creating and maintaining the service greater motivation to produce and contribute more.”
Another 2011 winner, Simon Frostad, Chairman and co-founder of Bridge Technologies, also speaking to IPTV News explains why winning the Best Quality Improvement Solution for IP, Hybrid or Connected TV Award was important to his company. Simon says, “Recognition like this does help to highlight that the microVB is a one-of-a-kind product, and it really drives home the message that true end-to-end monitoring is possible – all the way from the satellite to the STB. Many digital media operators are still trying to get by without an adequate monitoring strategy, sometimes because they don’t understand the issues, and sometimes because they don’t know what the latest technology is capable of, so this award helps spread the word.”
