Ixia Tests for Energy Efficiency at iSimCity Using IxGreen’s ATIS-Compatible Measurements
CALABASAS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Ixia (NASDAQ: XXIA), a leading, global provider of converged network IP performance test systems, today announced that its iSimCity facility now provides green IT testing using its award-winning IxGreen test suite, which has recently been upgraded to include the Telecommunications Energy Efficiency Ratio (TEER) measurement defined by the Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions (ATIS).
IxGreen is the industry's first "green" test and measurement solution, allowing measurement of a network device's power consumption at various load conditions utilizing real-world application traffic profiles. IxGreen offers fully integrated energy measurements, comprehensive reports with time-correlated energy and external load data graphs, plus advanced computations and detailed analysis of the conducted test. Real-time performance graphs and statistics are also available.
Ixia opened its executive briefing center and proof-of-concept (PoC) lab in 2008 in Santa Clara, California. iSimCity was designed from the ground up to serve multiple functions for customers and visitors:
