LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Janalent, a leading provider of management, technology and software development solutions to the mid-market, enterprise and public sector, announced today that it was named Microsoft’s 2010 Worldwide Partner of the Year for Unified Communications & Messaging Solutions.

Microsoft selected Janalent from an international field of top Microsoft partners delivering market-leading customer solutions built on Microsoft technology. The award marks the third year in a row that Microsoft has honored Janalent: first in 2008 as a Worldwide Partner of the Year finalist, followed by back-to-back wins in 2009 and 2010 as Worldwide Partner of the Year, an unprecedented accomplishment in the UC and Messaging category.

“For Janalent, recognition by Microsoft three years in a row for Unified Communications & Messaging is a validation of our commitment to value and the success of our customers,” said Anne Chahal, CEO and president of Janalent. “The world of communications is evolving, and the demands for businesses to keep up are ever-increasing. Our ability to help our customers through this convergence is one of the great joys we get as a trusted adviser.”

Microsoft announced awards across a number of categories, with winners chosen from more than 640,000 independently owned partner companies. For its award specifically, Janalent was recognized for superior technology and innovation. The Unified Communications Solutions, Messaging, Partner of the Year Award honors a Microsoft partner with proven expertise in the planning, implementation and management of Microsoft Exchange Server. The award cites Janalent for enabling its customers to achieve new levels of reliability and performance by simplifying administration, protecting communications and improving business mobility.

“Janalent consistently delivers value to their customers by creating solutions based on Microsoft Exchange Server and Exchange Online,” said Kirk Koenigsbauer, corporate vice president, of Microsoft Corp.’s Office Business Productivity Group. “By migrating customers from competitive offerings, Janalent delivers impressive ROI and significant savings to their customers.”

“Unified communications and collaboration continues to be mission critical for CIOs globally,” said Joe Honan, chief operating officer and vice president of solutions for Janalent. “The ability to share information in whatever form is appropriate, whether it is traditional email and voicemail, or by instant communications and video conferencing. The ability to connect with suppliers, vendors, and customers is of paramount importance.”

Founded in 2004, Janalent is a consortium of companies that provide collaborative enterprise management, technology and software development solutions to the mid-market, enterprise and public sector. The women/minority business enterprise has grown from a home-based operation to an organization with an international presence and consistent annual growth amid a recession.
