Libra Alliance Corp. became Lightyear Network Solutions Inc. on Friday and changed its ticker symbol to OTCBB: LYNS. Louisville-based telecommunications provider Lightyear Network Solutions LLC recently completed a securities exchange with Libra Alliance. Libra was incorporated in Nevada in 1997 and previously operated as an Internet service provider. Through the securities exchange, Lightyear became Libra’s principal operating company, allowing Lightyear to trade as a public company. The change in name and ticker symbol was approved Thursday by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, according to a news release issued by Lightyear. “The change in our corporate name and our new stock symbol more closely reflects our business of providing telecommunication services to businesses and consumers throughout the United States,” Lightyear CEO J. Sherman Henderson said in a news release. Lightyear provides telecommunications services to business and residential customers.
