East Coast Operator Partners With NetCracker to Meet Demands of Infrastructure Expansion Program

WALTHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- NetCracker Technology announced today that Lightower Fiber Networks, a leading provider of fiber-based networking solutions, has selected the company’s Telecom Operations and Management Solution (TOMS) to consolidate and manage its expanding fiber-based infrastructure. Lightower’s fiber footprint extends from New England to Eastern New York State, Northern New Jersey, Long Island, and New York. The company provides Metro Ethernet, dark fiber, DWDM, SONET, Internet access, and collocation services throughout the Northeast.

“Lightower’s high-capacity infrastructure continues to experience rapid growth through acquisition, market expansion and organic, in-market growth,” said Jason Campbell, SVP of Operations and Engineering at Lightower. “Our partnership with NetCracker will enable us to manage growth, optimize the management of assets, and enhance the customer experience.” By choosing NetCracker’s TOMS Solution, Lightower will improve its internal operations by providing implementation and support staff with unified and reliable access to network information. This solution will improve Lightower’s ability to plan and fulfill client orders by helping to reduce the time and effort required to accurately analyze resources throughout the network.

As part of its network expansion program, Lightower has recently acquired several high-capacity service providers. NetCracker’s TOMS will play a key role in integrating their network systems to provide Lightower with a single view of the entire network.

“NetCracker values the opportunity to help North American carriers like Lightower boost their business performance, reduce operational risk, and improve their customer relationships,” said Andrew Feinberg, President and CEO of NetCracker. “As Lightower executes on its growth strategy, we look forward to this partnership and to contributing to their success.”
