Message Systems Announces Enhancements to Momentum
Updated messaging platform on common architecture now available to carriers, ISPs and enterprises with added functionality
COLUMBIA, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Message Systems, the industry leader in messaging technology solutions, announced today enhancements to Momentum, the most powerful message management platform on the market today. Now available to carriers and ISPs, as well as enterprises, Momentum allows clients to benefit from a common architecture that works with Message Systems’ full range of solutions including Mobile Momentum, Message Central, Adaptive Delivery and Message Scope. This common architecture also allows Message Systems to deliver quarterly software upgrades for both receivers and senders at the same time for quicker responsiveness to evolving client requirements. The receiving version of Momentum adds key functionality to support complex inbound policies, routing and anti-abuse use cases. By leveraging these kinds of messaging capabilities, email receivers will reduce infrastructure and operating costs, increase customer loyalty and retention, protect their environments from attacks and abuse, and generate revenue from new messaging services.
Key enhancements to Momentum, now available to receivers, include advanced sub-cluster management, improved configuration management and pathway scopes, and an improved user interface with granular analytics and web-based configuration management. These features provide better administration and support for redundancy, greater reliability and reduced costs. Advanced analytics and web-based configuration management enable clients to pinpoint issues or trends with a single click, provide interactive graphs for viewing data across configurable windows of time, and permit users to make configuration changes with point and click editing, improving ease of use and reducing errors.
Additionally, a more powerful and flexible Lua-based policy engine enables carriers and ISPs to implement advanced policies, integrate new systems and data sources, and leverage business logic far beyond what is possible with conventional MTA-based messaging infrastructure. Pre-packaged, yet configurable policies are available for immediate implementation, enabling carriers and enterprises to easily and quickly implement their own best practice polices while still maintaining complete flexibility. Momentum’s policy engine empowers companies to deliver new functionality, faster and without relying on vendor provided customizations.
Additional new features in Momentum include:
- IPv6 connectivity
- Ability to send and receive traffic over IPv6 networks, and future proofing against IPv4 depletion.
- Flexible choice of anti-abuse partners
- Vendor-agnostic AV/AS - Select the AV/AS scanning partner(s) that meets your business needs. Easily change in the future should your needs change.
- Pre-packaged content scanners - Variety of content scanners packaged with Momentum from Symantec, Cloudmark, Eleven, Commtouch, Image Analyzer and more.
- Powerful CIDR-based reporting
- Web based reports that show policy violations are summarized by IP (CIDR) range and date, helping to easily spot attacks, identify abusers and identify trends and review policy effectiveness.
“Message Systems continually sets new standards in message management,” says George Schlossnagle, CEO of Message Systems. “Carriers, ISPs and enterprises alike can benefit from our message management platform and leverage a range of compatible solutions from us, or integrate best-of-breed capabilities from partners that are best suited to achieving individual business goals.
