MetroPCS Brings a New View to Voice Mail With the Launch of Visual Voice Mail Services

New service available on select MetroPCS devices

DALLAS, June 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- MetroPCS Communications, Inc., the nation's leading provider of unlimited, no annual contract, flat-rate wireless service, this week introduced Visual Voice Mail and Visual Voice Mail Plus services to select MetroPCS devices, allowing subscribers to manage voice mails directly on their mobile screen with the same ease as SMS, MMS or email messages.

With the Visual Voice Mail service, MetroPCS customers can choose to listen to messages with one click or browse voice messages visually and see the contact's profile picture.  Additionally, Visual Voice Mail Plus provides text transcriptions of voice messages appearing on the screen. The Visual Voice Mail service allows customers to respond to voice messages via call back, SMS, MMS and/or email, even in areas where audio playback is inconvenient.

Visual Voice Mail is available on the Samsung Galaxy Indulge™, the LG Optimus M™ and the Huawei Ascend™ and the Huawei Ascend Sanctioned by TapouT, with support for the Blackberry 8530 and BREW-based devices coming soon. MetroPCS' Visual Voice Mail is available on plans starting at $45 for non-4G handsets and $50 for 4G handsets. Visual Voice Mail Plus is an additional $5 on each plan.
