HERZELIA, Israel--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- MobileMax Inc. announced today that Verizon Business is leveraging the MobileMax Enterprise edition platform to help deliver their new Verizon Global Fixed Mobile Convergence (FMC) solution to their enterprise customers. Verizon FMC employs advanced handset software from MobileMax to determine cost-effective routing for mobile calls. The service dynamically directs mobile calls to either Verizon’s cloud-based global voice-over-IP (VoIP) communications platform, powered by Broadsoft, or to the user’s mobile network service.

Verizon’s Global FMC offers a universal phone number that lets workers securely and seamlessly use the features of their PBX on their mobile handsets. As a result, workers can cost-effectively take advantage of the same “office-based” capabilities wherever they may roam.

The initial offering is immediately available to Verizon Business customers in nine European countries, including Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom. U.S. and Asia Pacific-headquartered companies will also be able to take advantage of the new service for employees in the initial service area.

“Working with MobileMax, Verizon Business is offering a significant value proposition to our global customers,” said Anthony Recine, vice president of network and communications solutions with Verizon Business. “With Global Fixed Mobile Convergence, we’re helping multinational enterprises unleash employees from their desks while keeping them in close touch with their business.”

“Verizon’s Global FMC offering is a ground-breaking solution that uses the advanced capabilities of MobileMax advanced software,” said MobileMax CEO and Co-Founder Raanan Cohen. “We look forward to working with a leading global service provider like Verizon to help mobilize business for some of the world’s leading companies.”
