NCTA 2011 Annual Meeting & Tech Expo presents “The Outlook for IT: 2011 and Beyond”

RALEIGH, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The North Carolina Technology Association (NCTA), the primary voice of the technology industry in North Carolina, kicks off 2011 with the organization’s first signature event of the year, its 2011 Annual Meeting & Tech Expo. The event, entitled “The Outlook for IT: 2011 and Beyond” with title sponsor Alphanumeric Systems, will be held January 24, 2011 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel in Durham. Michael Smith, research VP with Gartner will be the featured speaker at the event.

Smith, currently a vice president in Gartner Research, has 11 years of experience at Gartner and 35 years in the IT industry. His current focus is on the value of IT, taking a close look into the development of business performance frameworks and methodologies to help organizations evaluate IT-enabled business initiatives.
NCTA’s Annual Meeting and Tech Expo is the organization’s first signature event of the year where the Board of Directors, member companies and industry leaders gather to celebrate last year’s accomplishments and present the goals for the year ahead. The event also presents an opportunity for member companies to display products and technology services in the Tech Expo.
