NewBay Growth Drives Office Expansion in the United States
Washington State Governor, Chris Gregoire, opens NewBay’s new Americas headquarters in downtown Seattle.
SEATTLE, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- NewBay, the leader in digital lifestyle services, has established its Americas headquarters in downtown Seattle to accommodate its aggressive growth and hiring plans for the region.
NewBay has doubled its staff in the U.S. over the last year, and plans to add an additional 100 employees within the next 12 months. The new office will meet the company’s requirements to expand even further to better service its growing operator client base in America and to manage its global OEM business.
Commenting on the move, Timo Bauer, SVP and general manager Americas at NewBay said, "2010 has been a great year for NewBay. We launched new services for AT&T and Verizon, and continued to work closely with T-Mobile in the region. We strengthened our relationship with LG Electronics globally and built new partnerships with device manufacturers. All this was managed from our Americas headquarters."
Bauer added, "Seattle is the ‘mobile Silicon Valley’, which made it the perfect location for our new Americas headquarters. As we continue to grow our customer base, we will focus on recruiting new talent across multiple disciplines in Seattle including business development, marketing, finance, engineering, operations and professional services. It is an exciting time for NewBay and an exciting time in the industry as the battle for the ‘Content Cloud’ evolves."
