The North Carolina Technology Association Opens Nominations for the 2011 21 Awards
North Carolina's most prestigious statewide technology awards program recognizes innovation and excellence
RALEIGH, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The North Carolina Technology Association (NCTA), the primary voice of the technology industry in North Carolina, announced today that nominations are now being accepted for the 2011 21 Awards. The awards are grouped in four categories: Technology Industry, Excellence, Stage of Development and Leadership. Winners will be recognized at the annual awards gala, presented in conjunction with title sponsor Grant Thornton, on Thursday, Nov. 10 at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel and Convention Center in Durham, N.C.
“The 21 Awards is the only awards program in the state that recognizes leadership, innovation and excellence in technology,” said Brooks Raiford, NCTA’s president and CEO. “This is one of our most well-attended and exciting events of the year, and the nominees and winners are always a true testament to the incredible amount of talent that exists in North Carolina’s technology sector. What’s more, with 21 diverse award categories, there are a number of opportunities for companies both large and small to be recognized.”
In addition to the four award categories, the 2011 21 Awards will once again recognize a “Technology Executive of the Year,” which will be decided by popular vote through NCTA’s web site.
