Pioneer Consulting and Main One Cable System Celebrate First 100 Days of Operation

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Pioneer Consulting, Project Managers of the Main One Cable System, are pleased to announce the first 100 days of operation has been completed for Phase I of the system. In service since July, this brings the successful conclusion to the implementation stage of this monumental project.

Selected in 2008 by Main One Cable Company, Pioneer Consulting led the project management and lead engineering for the undersea fiber optic system. With over 6,900 kilometers of cable providing connectivity along the West Coast of Africa from Portugal to Nigeria with a day-1 link to Ghana, preparations are underway to extend the network.

Celebrating its first 100 days in operation—all fault-free—Pioneer praised Main One’s achievement. “As promised, the Main One System was fully implemented and readily available to customers in July 2010,” commented Keith Schofield, Managing Partner at Pioneer Consulting and lead project manager. “Also, the system is configured to easily expand and upgrade in order to meet increasing customer demand.”
