Chandra Will Discuss the Possibilities That the Google TV Platform Brings to the Living Room
MEDFORD, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Rishi Chandra, lead product manager for Google TV, will kick off the Streaming Media West Conference on Tuesday, November 2, with a keynote exploring the possibilities that the Google TV platform brings to content owners and developers by joining the power of the web with the television viewing experience.
Google TV enables users to access all of their usual TV channels as well as a world of Internet and cloud-based information and applications, all from the comfort of their own living room and with the same simplicity as browsing the web. This opens up new distribution channels for content providers, and allows them to further innovate around their existing content. In his keynote, Chandra will address how content providers can create entirely new ways to engage with consumers and deliver custom content created specifically for the interactive living room.
Chandra will also detail the opportunity that developers have to help shape the future of Google TV, leveraging a set of TV-specific APIs for web applications that enable web developers to begin building unique web applications for the TV.
