Popular lifestyle networks HGTV, Food Network, DIY, Cooking Channel and GAC restored to U-verse customers

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. & DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Scripps Networks and AT&T* have reached a new distribution agreement that will keep popular lifestyle networks HGTV, Food Network, DIY, Cooking Channel and Great American Country (GAC) available to 2.7 million AT&T U-verse® customers, the companies announced Sunday night. The channels were restored to the U-verse lineup Sunday night, less than three days after contract negotiations stalled. Details of the agreement were not disclosed.

“These situations are never easy, and everyone regrets that the viewers were caught in the middle,” said John Lansing, president of Scripps Networks. “After the initial impasse, both sides took quick action to work toward a constructive solution. We especially appreciate our loyal viewers and AT&T U-verse customers for their patience.”
