Sumitomo Electric Completed the Third DPoE(TM) 1.0 Interoperability Test

TOKYO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Sumitomo Electric Networks, Inc., today announced that the company participated in the third DOCSIS® Provisioning of EPON (DPoE™) interoperability event hosted by CableLabs® in Louisville, Colorado, together with other DPoE suppliers, on Aug 22th through 26th.

In the series of interoperability events this year, Sumitomo Electric has shown continued development of its DPoE-capable equipment by completing interoperability testing with their next generation high density, high performance DPoE platform capable of supporting a variety of access interfaces including 1G and 10G EPON, combined with highly scalable L2/L3 advanced switching capabilities and a future-proof multi-terabit backplane.
