VelaTel Global Communications Launches Infinity G tm Product Line: The Company’s First Branded Line of Wireless Devices
SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- U.S.-based VelaTel Global Communications, Inc. (OTCQB:VELA) (previously ChinaTel Group) is pleased to announce that it has developed and launched a complete line of branded products that, when activated, enhance consumers’ experience in connecting to VelaTel’s GO MOVIL 4G wireless broadband network. VelaTel’s Infinity G tm product line currently includes a 7” and a 10” touch screen tablet, a USB dongle, and a pocket Mi-Fi device. Photographs and further descriptions of all devices can be found on the website for VelaTel’s Peru network, www.gomovil.com.pe, under the tab “Dispositivos” (which is Spanish for “Devices”).
Earlier this month, VelaTel launched its wireless networks in eight targeted cities in Peru under the GO MOVIL brand. GO MOVIL is the first and only 4G network in Peru. Now, with the introduction of VelaTel's Infinity G wireless devices, consumers in Peru, as well as in other underserved countries where the company plans to deploy its networks, will be able to access its 4G network while on-the-go using these innovative, yet low-cost mobile solutions. Moreover, with these devices, consumers around the globe no longer have to be bound to just an Internet Café experience and can now truly live a more “connected-lifestyle” by enjoying “anytime, anywhere” access to school, work, social media, entertainment and even gaming – all while under VelaTel’s operated networks.
VelaTel’s CEO, George Alvarez, stated: “Our product development team has worked with a number of international OEM manufactures to develop high-quality, low-cost devices that allow our subscribers to connect to our networks wherever those networks may reach. The future promise of wireless broadband is to expand what we think of today as a “hot spot” from the local coffee shop to one’s entire community, and then to entire regions and countries.”
In underserved markets where “low-cost” devices typically equates to a “low-quality” product, VelaTel committed to rising above the norm by developing its own product line that delivers a superior product, coupled with its superior 4G wireless service - but all in a low-cost, accessible way for the consumer. Some of the innovative devices within the Infinity G product line include:
- 7” and 10” Touch Screen Tablets – Both the 7” and the 10” tablets include a Micro SD card slot that holds up to 32 gigs of memory. The Micro SD card allows users to input their own data and music without having to connect to another computer. In addition, both tablets are VOIP and Bluetooth enabled at very inexpensive rates. The tablets also include an HDMI port for transporting media, including movies, from the tablet to a T.V.
- USB Dongle – Operates as a true “plug and play” device with no disk ever being needed for installation. The tool easily allows users to access the Internet by inserting the dongle into their laptop or other devices.
- Mi-Fi Device – Allows users to become a walking “hot spot” while under VelaTel’s network coverage. Consumers can wirelessly connect their own device, such as a Smart Phone or an iPad to the Mi-Fi device to create their own cloud of coverage for accessing the Internet. The Mi-Fi device converts VelaTel’s WiMax signal into Wi-Fi for the user. Up to four independent devices can connect simultaneously under one Mi-Fi cloud.
Products will be available for sale or pre-order in GO MOVIL stores in Peru beginning August 19. All devices will also be made available in other countries where VelaTel expects to deploy its wireless broadband access networks.
VelaTel remains committed to bringing high speed Internet access to underserved markets around the globe. To learn more about VelaTel’s business initiatives visit www.velatel.com.
