Verizon Plus Store in Oxnard Hosts Live Auditions on May 8 in Search of a Reporter to Cover the 2010 FIFA World Cup Soccer Match

OXNARD, Calif., May 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Soccer enthusiasts can stop in at the Verizon Plus Store on South A Street on Saturday (May 8) and audition for the opportunity to cover the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa live for Univision.

Camera crews from Univision will be on site to tape individual performances. Participants -- who must be at least 18 years old and speak Spanish -- should highlight their knowledge of sports, creativity, and an overall vibrant on-screen personality to show why they should be chosen as the Reportero Verizon for Univision.  The winner will be selected in a few weeks, based on the criteria above.  

In the Verizon Plus Store, visitors can also enter to win giveaways and learn about new Verizon FiOS services and offerings, like the La Conexion TV, Internet and phone bundled package.
