Vitesse Names WPG Americas, Inc. As Its New Americas Distributor

SAN JOSE, Calif. & CAMARILLO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- WPG Americas Inc. and Vitesse Semiconductor Corporation (NASDAQ:VTSS), a leading provider of advanced IC solutions for Carrier and Enterprise networks, announced today that WPG Americas (WPGA) will be handling distribution of Vitesse’s complete line of products in the Americas effective immediately.

Vitesse’s high-performance communications ICs are designed to address the transition to Ethernet-based technology in Carrier and Enterprise networks. The new relationship with WPGA supports Vitesse’s revenue growth and market share initiatives for its next-generation products. WPGA will sell Vitesse products into traditional telecom markets, as well as into new markets, including industrial, video and wireless backhaul.
