YouMail Sued by Klausner Technologies for Visual Voicemail Patent Infringement
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Klausner Technologies, Inc. announced today that it has filed suit against YouMail, Inc. for patent infringement under its U.S. Visual Voicemail patents.
Klausner Technologies currently has 27 Visual Voicemail patent licensees under its U.S., European and Asian patents, including major U.S. and European mobile operators, international cell phone manufacturers, cable/VOIP providers as well as providers of “Over the Top” Visual Voicemail services.
YouMail, Inc. recently stated that its customer base surpassed one million registered YouMail users. “We congratulate YouMail on its success; but we can’t allow them to use our patented inventions and not pay royalties – especially when 27 other companies using our Visual Voicemail technology have already signed license agreements for our patents”, said Judah Klausner, Klausner Technologies’ President. The suit has been filed in federal court in the Eastern District of Texas by the California law firm of Dovel & Luner.
