ZTE FTTx Product Grabs Second BBWF InfoVision Award

SHENZHEN, China--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- ZTE Corporation’s (“ZTE”) (H share stock code: 0763.HK / A share stock code: 000063.SZ) next-generation xPON optical access platform has won the InfoVision Green Broadband Award at Broadband World Forum Europe (BBWF Europe) 2010 held in Paris, France. This is the second time a ZTE FTTx product has won an Infovision award at this prestigious telecommunications industry event, following a win in 2007.

The Broadband InfoVision Awards have long been established as the industry's leading awards event celebrating excellence within the broadband marketplace. This year, 10 award categories including Best New Service and Broadband Network and Services Management and Operations were offered to recognise the industry’s most innovative and representative products.

ZTE won the Green Broadband Award for its ZXA10 C300 next-generation optical access platform. In 2007, ZTE's GPON+VDSL2 solution grabbed an InfoVision award, and in 2008, its ZXDSL 9806H product won the Best Green Innovation award at SOFNET in London. The latest award is the third time ZTE has scooped a major prize recognising excellence in the broadband marketplace, and the second award win at BBWF.

As an important part of ZTE’s broadband solution, the ZXA10 C300 next-generation optical access platform is the world’s first green, converged, multi-service, all-optical, large-capacity and high-density access platform that is designed for high-end markets, meets existing technical application requirements, and can be simply upgraded as new technologies develop. The C300 meets requirements for large capacity, high density, and wide coverage, and can evolve into 10G EPON (next generation EPON) and NG PON (next generation GPON). It is a unified access platform compatible with EPON, GPON, P2P, 10G EPON, and NG PON. It can provide high bandwidth service access in different FTTx application environments by using different ONUs and ONTs.The ZXA10 C300 has been extensively deployed worldwide.
