Global revenue from telecom services, including mobile services, will reach $2 trillion by the end of this year, according to research firm Gartner. That represents a 7.6 percent revenue boost over 2007. Mobile connections, not surprisingly, are accounting for a growing portion of that revenue. Mobile connections will out-number landline connections four to one by 2012, Gartner says.
