TM Forum acquires IPSphere Forum

The TM Forum has acquired IPSphere Forum, proving that M&A activity isn't exclusive to the hardware industry.

IPsphere Forum will move its specs, field trial and use case work into the TM Forum, emerging as a new working group within the forum focusing on advanced service delivery and management issues. IPSphere has developed the first release of its core specification and a second document on session services and management.  

A second version of the IPSphere framework will focus on how to bring partners into the service equation, including defining a business layer that automates offer, purchase and provisioning of service components among multiple partners.
