Sticking to its cost cutting guns [1], Cincinnati Bell plans to lay off employees and implement a hiring freeze next year as part of a company-wide expense reduction program for 2010.
Other than saying there will be "significant force reduction layoffs" due to economic pressures, Cincinnati Bell Vice President of Human Resources Brian Keating did not reveal the number of employees that would be affected by the changes in a letter sent to Communications Workers of America (CWA) Local 4400.
This is not the only time Cincinnati Bell has axed jobs. The ILEC let about 200 employees in May [2] go and suspended corporate contributions to its employees' retirement plans.
