AT&T
AT&T's (NYSE: T) Q1 2010 wireline revenues, while nothing to write home about, were buoyed by credible gains in both its consumer U-verse and IP-based business service segments.

Verizon
Much like its RBOC brother AT&T (NYSE:T), Verizon's (NYSE:VZ) Q1 2010 earnings were another tale of slow wireless growth and continuing declines in its traditional wireline business.

Qwest
Qwest's (NYSE: Q) merger with CenturyLink (NYSE: CTL) may not be finalized until next year, but right now there's not much to smile about as the Colorado-based ILEC's profit fell by 83 percent with inevitable landline loss and slightly lower broadband growth.

May 6

CenturyLink
CenturyLink (NYSE: CTL) found that broadband and decreased voice line loss were key in helping the service provider offset declines in overall revenue and net income.

Windstream
Windstream (NasdaqGS: WIN) might not have a wireless business to fall back on, but that did not seem to matter in Q1 2010 as the Tier 2 provider's prospects improved with broadband subscriber growth and a decrease in PSTN landline loss.

Frontier
Frontier Communications' (NYSE:FTR) first quarter 2010 report, while showing 17 percent growth in profit, saw decreases in revenue and broadband growth.
