360networks adds new network routes stretching from Texas to New Mexico

360networks is once again on the network expansion path. This time, the competitive wholesale provider has lit a 640 mile route between Dallas and El Paso, Texas that can support up to 100 Gbps line rates.

With this expansion in place, 360networks' existing and new wholesale customers (cable, cloud providers and wireless operators) will be able to access over 18,000 route miles to over 60 Tier 1 to 4 markets across 22 states and British Columbia.

One of the added benefits of the new network expansion is that it creates a redundant path for the Dallas market and throughout the rest of Texas, Colorado and New Mexico.

Similar to other network expansions that 360networks has taken over the past year, this latest network initiative also leverages Alcatel-Lucent's (NYSE: ALU) 1830 Photonic Service Switch (PSS) technology enabling Waves, IP, Ethernet, and TDM access in Abilene, Ft.Worth, and Midland.
