Allstream taps NetCracker to improve business customer order management, fulfillment processes
Allstream is employing NetCracker's NetCracker 9 suite to enhance its end-to-end order management and service fulfillment capabilities for its growing business customer base.
Already using Netcracker's Customer Order Management, Product Information Management and Service Information Management solutions, Allstream will now begin using Customer Information Management, Service Order Management and Service Inventory solutions.
Set to support a number of its product lines, the new end-to-end order management solution builds Allstream's use of NetCracker's configure, price, quote and product catalog capabilities.
Having a more comprehensive back office system will come in handy as Allstream continues to expand its IP-based business presence.
During the first quarter, the service provider expanded its on-net fiber footprint by adding 66 buildings to its IP-based fiber network during the quarter. As of the end of March, it had a total of 3,069 buildings. This foundation enables it to extend its growing suite of Ethernet, unified communications, hosting and security services.
