Arbor Networks enhances security platform

Tools

Security systems vendor Arbor Networks announced the latest version of its service provider network threat monitoring and security platform. Arbor Peakflow SP Version 5.0 includes automated threat detection and mitigation in instances of known threats, as well as increased scalability and managed protection from distributed denial of service (DDOS) attacks. Latency, jitter and other service quality traits also can be monitored.

It is clear from a Telephony report that analysts are looking for Arbor to further integrate deep packet inspection technology into Peakflow. Arbor brought DPI in house from its acquisition of Ellacoya, and DPI companies have continued to be acquisition targets as firms with broader platforms look to embed DPI in their own systems.
