Axis Telecom takes jab at BT's landline voice empire
Axis Telecom is so confident that it's got the right price to attract a flood of consumers to leave behind BT for its voice service that if someone can prove they did not save money in the first year they will 'refund double the difference.' And at $9.90 per month, Axis could be onto something. Comparable domestic voice service from BT costs about $18.73 a month.
Although Axis' customer base of 13,000 is still arguably small, the service provider believes the low-cost service could attract those customers looking for any way to reduce their home and business expenses. The idea seems to be paying off for Axis as it has been adding an average about 40 new customers every day. This new found scale for the nine year old company has prompted it to beef up its staff with more managers and customer support representatives.
