Birch reaches Polycom Choice Partner status

Birch Communications has enhanced its status in the cloud services market for business customers by being named a Polycom Platinum Level Choice Partner.

By gaining this stamp of approval from Polycom, one of the largest PBX and voice solution providers, Birch can more effectively deliver customized collaboration solutions that meet a specific vertical business' needs.

Polycom said that the Platinum Level shows that Birch has enhanced its go-to-market offerings, particularly its TotalCloud PBX service. The service provider has also gained the expertise to assess, develop, install and offer ongoing support to a variety of customer environments in any industry segment.

Chris Aversano, executive vice president and chief operations officer at Birch, said that becoming a Platinum Level Choice Partner is part of its goal to not just be a service provider, but also an advisor to its business clients.

"In addition to our investments to achieve Platinum Level Polycom Choice Partner designation, we also continue to provide turnkey onsite setup as part of our onboarding process for new customers," Aversano said in a release.

Birch initially became a Polycom Choice Partner after completing its acquisition of Cbeyond in July.

Gaining this status comes at a key time for Birch as it continues to integrate the Cbeyond operations and customers into its fold.

Earlier this month, the service provider established a new company branding for a new set of product offerings targeting its business customer base. Under the new product portfolio structure, the service provider has developed four categories: BirchVoice (basic telephone services, hosted phone systems, PRI and SIP trunking); BirchNetwork (DSL, Ethernet, VPN and mobile services); BirchCloud (storage, managed hosting and data centers); and BirchIT Services (remote monitoring, helpdesk support and migration services).
