Broadband bonder Mushroom grows more bandwidth
Broadband bonding, one of the more interesting access innovations to emerge in recent years, is one way for business customers to address fast-growing bandwidth needs, and now one of the pioneer companies behind the technology is making even more bandwidth available. Mushroom Networks has announced a new version of its Truffle bonding gear that offers almost five times the bandwidth availability as previous versions--a total of about 300 Mbps when up to five broadband links are bonded together.
The company also now offers quality of service capabilities for better traffic monitoring and management, including a capability that lets traffic on a disabled link be spread to the other remaining bonded connections. A VPN session also can be spread over multiple bonded links to improve overall performance.
