Cablevision, TWC employees await their fate as potential layoffs loom

As Altice and Charter Communications (NASDAQ: CHTR) complete their mega-billion dollar acquisitions of Cablevision and Time Warner Cable, employees of these cable MSOs are bracing for potential layoffs as these companies look to trim off redundant positions.

A number of the top brass at Time Warner Cable and Cablevision have announced their departures.

Joan Gillman, Time Warner Cable's executive vice president of media services, told employees in an email that she and other colleagues would be leaving TWC after the merger. Tom Montemagno, Cablevision's executive vice president of programming, reportedly sent a similar notice that he would also exit the company. FierceCable has this report.
