CenturyLink equips 22 Youth Dynamics locations in Montana with managed VoIP

CenturyLink (NYSE: CTL) has won a contract to provide Youth Dynamics, a nonprofit mental and behavioral health agency for Montana kids and families, its Managed Office offering at 22 of the agency's Montana locations.

By leveraging the Managed Office solution, Youth Dynamics will be able to improve connectivity, increase productivity, decrease costs and consolidate its technology services under a single provider.

A key benefit for Youth Dynamics will be in the ability to help its 500 employees to deliver an array of behavioral health therapies and services for children in hundreds of rural Montana communities. Because many of its clients live in rural areas, they typically lack local access to specialized health care services.

The Managed Office service will enable employees to be reachable whether they are in the office or working remotely, something that the agency could not achieve with its legacy phone system. Because CenturyLink incorporates advanced network security with its Managed Office offering, Youth Dynamics can comply with patient privacy protection laws and other regulations.

"VoIP from CenturyLink helps us serve patients more efficiently because it's simple to make calls from the desktop and it's easy to access and share time-sensitive voicemail messages about patient care plans," said Vicki Lapp, IT manager for Youth Dynamics, in a release. "We are getting more out of our network, and at the same time it is much easier to administer from an IT standpoint."

Besides the ease of use, Youth Dynamics has also seen cost savings from CenturyLink, which oversees the complete IT and phone system at all locations for Managed Office. This has enabled Youth Dynamics to eliminate time-consuming work managing multiple provider contracts and paying multiple bills.

By having CenturyLink implement Managed Office, Youth Dynamics said it now gets a low monthly price for phone and network administration, allowing it to predict and manage its IT budget. CenturyLink also performs necessary software and equipment upgrades, meaning the agency can avoid unexpected capital expenses.
