Cisco adds Singh as strategy executive

Cisco Systems reportedly has hired Lehman Brother analyst Inder Singh as vice president of strategy across multiple product lines. A story at Light Reading says Singh has notified Lehman clients of his departure. Though other details are not clear at this point, adding Singh would be another significant hiring for Cisco after the company saw a number of high-ranking executives depart in recent years, possibly as they recognized that highly successful Cisco chief John Chambers was not about to relinquish leadership control. Late last year, Cisco hired former Motorola CTO Padmasree Warrior as its CTO.
